For an intimately-accurate study of kelp, I created a ring that features the terminal blade--the end of the kelp column from which all subsequent blades peel off and grow. Meticulously hand-sawn and textured, leaving behind tiny slivers of negative space where the new blades separate from the scimitar. Gently-curving stipe wraps around the finger for an artistic and unique experience of macrocystis pyrifera.

Ring is size 9.25.
