My forays into the kelp forests off the California coast have inspired me to explore some different approaches to silver kelp jewelry… hence the Kelp Study ring series.

This Kelp+Stone ring arches its stipe and fronds over a lovely Carico Lake turquoise stone, hearkening back to the luminous blues and greens beneath the surface. Wavy stipe band and overlapping fronds give it a graceful flow for an overall statement of pure salty love.

Handmade by Jess of Low Tide Landing in San Diego, California. Sterling silver (0.925) and natural abalone shell.

Size 8.5. Due to the unique design of this band, the ring is not entirely round: the flat back of the stone bezel sits flush against the finger. Ring is measured on a flat-back ring mandrel and sits at precisely 8.5.
