The Phycophile is for the true seaweed lover! This completely handmade necklace celebrates three fabulous species of Pacific seaweeds: Macrocystis pyrifera (giant kelp), Nereocystis luetkeana (bull kelp), and Egregia menziesii (feather boa kelp). Each one has its essential place in the undersea ecosystem, providing food and shelter for marine creatures, while trapping carbon and releasing oxygen for us land-dwellers!

The three seaweeds have been lovingly hand-crafted from sterling silver: meticulously-sawn and textured fronds, fused and carved bulbs. Handmade sterling silver links encircle your neck in an elegant, collarbone-brushing length of 18”.
